Watching Annika and Astrid

Annika stars the incomparable Nicola Walker as Annika Strandhed who works for the Marine Homicide Unit out of Glascow. It’s a drama and police procedural but also a comedy. Annika breaks the fourth wall periodically to speak to the audience directly. A delightful series.

Astrid is a French series, starring Sara Mortensen as Astrid, a criminal archivist on the neurodivergent spectrum, who assists the impulsive Lola Dewaere as Commander Raphaelle, is solving crimes. French with English subtitles. Astrid seeks advice from her neurodivergent support group and introduces a number of wonderfully unique characters into the mix.
