The Man Who Died Twice (Richard Osman)

Another book: The second in the Thursday Murder Club mystery series, this was a recommendation by a fellow DeadLy (DeadLie? — have we determined what our singular will be?). I concur with the recommendation, solely on the basis of the first chapter, which was layered, complex, insightful, laugh-out-loud funny and included such an unexpectedly delightful twist that, as far as I’m concerned, the author is now off the hook. Even if he winds up delivering the most mundane and plodding of plots, the first chapter will carry me. The book also gives me hope that I will get funnier and smarter as I age, which is rare for any book, and another reason to recommend it.
